The award recipients for last year's Governor's Awards for Arts & Culture awards were honored on November 29th during an awards gala at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Award recipients and finalists were honored in 11 categories for outstanding support of arts and cultural in Michigan. The gala was sponsored in large part by the General Motors Corporation Foundation, Masco Corporation Foundation, Skidmore, Chase, The Chrysler Foundation, Comerica, Detroit Institute of Arts, DTE Energy Foundation, Ford Motor Company Fund, Pegasus Theatrical, National City Bank, Target and Macy's.
